宪法 of the 参议院工作人员 of Montana Tech

第一条:名称

The name of this organization shall be: 参议院工作人员 of Montana Tech.

第二条:目的

Purposes of the 参议院工作人员 shall be:

第一节:促进教职员在大学的管理结构和决策过程中发挥积极作用;

第二部分:在制定大学教育和运作程序和政策的过程中实现正式的代表;

第三节:作为工作人员与行政当局之间的沟通渠道, through the administration, to the State Board of Regents;

第四节:促进蒙大拿州理工学院和蒙大拿州高等教育的持续改进;

第5部分:促进蒙大拿技术人员的稳定和专业成长;

Section 6: To promote service to students by improving morale and working conditions of the Montana Tech staff; and

Section 7: To promote and develop staff-related activities, 政策, and procedures that support the Montana Tech mission.

ARTICLE III: MEMBERSHIP

ARTICLE IV: SENATORS AND OFFICERS

第一节: The Senate shall consist of up to 15 senators.

ARTICLE V: ELECTIONS-SENATORS

第四节.  The nominee(s) with the most votes will be elected as 参议员.

第五节.  Each senator will serve a two-year term, beginning July 1 each year. 参议员如欲延长任期，可经参议院多数票连任，任期为两年.

ARTICLE VI: ELECTIONS-OFFICERS

第一节.  Election shall occur the first regular Senate meeting in May of each year.

第二节.  Nominations for each office will be made and seconded by serving senators.  Each Senator will be allowed one vote for each office.

第三节.  Nominee(s) with the most votes will be elected as Officers.

第四节.  总统候选人应限于担任参议员或官员至少一年的人.

第五节.  Officers shall be elected to a one-year term, beginning July 1 each year.  希望延长任期的官员可经参议院多数票重新任命，任期连续一年.

ARTICLE VII: POWERS AND DUTIES

第一款参谋参议院负责执行参谋参议院的宗旨，并对参谋参议院的事务实行一般监督.

第二节: All members of the Senate shall be uninstructed representatives. Having sought the counsel and advice of their colleagues, 参议院议员对决定和表决事项有自行判断的自由.

ARTICLE VIII: VACANCIES

第一节:参议员的辞职或终止:任何职位或职位出现空缺, 选任或委任, 或者在任何委员会, 当持有该辞职信的人向校长提交辞职信(纸质或电子)或不再是大学的雇员时.

第二部分:缺勤: 空缺是指参议院或任何委员会的一名成员在未经事先通知的情况下四次未能出席会议或参加预定的参议院活动.

第三节: REPLACEMENT:

a. In the event of a vacancy in the office of President, the 副总统 shall assume that office to complete the term.

b. In the event of a vacancy in any other 参议院工作人员 Office, 院长应 nominate a member (exempt, 非豁免, 或非教职员合约专业人士)担任教职员评议会的委员，以完成剩余的任期. The nomination must be ratified by a majority vote of the Senate. 此种选举不应影响现任者对以后正常任期的选举.

c. Vacancies in any position, 除了总统以外, occurring 60 days or less before a regular election, need not be filled before that election.

d. In the event of a vacancy on any committee, 院长应, with concurrence of the Senate, appoint a successor from the Senate.

第九条-会议

第一节: Regular Senate meetings shall be held as specified in the By-Laws, called by the President by her/his own motion, or upon request of any two Senate members.

第二部分:每年, the 参议院工作人员 shall communicate, to the Montana Tech 工作人员, Senate activities and accomplishments for the current year; planned activities for the upcoming year, discuss positions or 政策 relevant to the Montana Tech 工作人员, 以及其他业务.
